This is going to be an UPDATED version of the downgrade guide1. Go to your World of Warcraft file. It is going to be located in your Program Files (EX. C:/ProgramFiles/WorldofWarcraft)
2. Within your World of Warcraft file there is a folder labeled DATA.
3. Within the DATA folder you should see some .MPQ files. You will want to delete patch.mpq, patch.mpq2, and ANY other mpq files start with patch. (EX. patch#.mpq)
4. Return to your root of the World of Warcraft folder.
5. Run the REPAIR.exe application.
6. Once you run REPAIR.exe it will return your World of Warcraft patch version BACK to v2.0.6
7. You will next need to UPDATE your World of Warcraft to the according patch version depending on what server you are playing.
A. Ascent Servers will need to have a patch version of v2.3.x :
From any version you will need to start with the following patch, and then follow the list from there to be correctly patched.
